Big Idea: Supplication is the antidote to anxiety.
When we don’t live with an anchor of faith, we will float in a sea of anxiety.
New definition of supplication: The act of approaching a loving God in humility, boldness, frankness, thankfulness and precision about our needs.
Big Idea: The act of approaching a loving God in humility, boldness, frankness, thankfulness and precision about our needs is the antidote to anxiety.
Discussion Questions:
1. Do you live with anxiety in your life? What are you most anxious about? How do you process your anxiety?
2. The Philippians were full of material possessions as well as anxiety. Have you ever felt this way- every material need met, yet a sense of anxiety still?
3. What thoughts does this idea of being precise with God about every area of your life stir in you?
