Share Your Story
Pastor Aaron Sutherland

I. SHARING OUR STORY CLOSES THE DISTANCE
John 4:4-14 (CEB) "Now he had to go through Samaria. So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon."

II. SHARING OUR STORY DELIVERS THE TRUTH
John 4:15-24 (CEB) "The woman said to him, 'Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.' He told her, 'Go, call your husband and come back.' 'I have no husband,' she replied. Jesus said to her, 'You are right when you say you have no husband. The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.'"

III. SHARING OUR STORY HELPS MAKE US WHOLE
John 4:25-30 (
CEB) "The woman said, 'I know that Messiah (called Christ) is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.' Then Jesus declared, 'I, the one speaking to you—I am he.' Just then his disciples came back. They marveled that he was talking with a woman, but no one said, 'What do you seek?' or, 'Why are you talking with her?' So the woman left her water jar and went away into town and said to the people, 'Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did. Can this be the Christ?'"

 DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

  1. How have you experienced God showing up in your life even before you were seeking Him?

  2. Have you ever shared God’s love with others, what were the results?

  3. Has God ever used you to bring about healing and/or wholeness?  If so what did that do regarding your relationship with God and the people involved?
