In Christ we see the Creator live as a servant to the creation.

I. LIVING AS A SERVANT CLARIFIES OUR IDENTITY
Mathew 23:8 (CEB) “But you shouldn’t be called Rabbi, because you have one teacher, and all of you are brothers and sisters. Don’t call anybody on earth your father, because you have one Father, who is heavenly. Don’t be called teacher, because Christ is your one teacher."

II. LIVING AS A SERVANT ELEVATES OUR WORLD VIEW
Matthew 23:11 (CEB) "But the one who is greatest among you will be your servant."
 

III. LIVING AS A SERVANT REQUIRES OUR DECISION
Matthew 23:12 (CEB) "All who lift themselves up will be brought low. But all who make themselves low will be lifted up."

1. How has knowing Christ changed how you view yourself and your place in the world?
2. In what ways do you find God’s kingdom functioning differently than this world’s kingdom? How does servanthood play into that?
3. Have you ever been in a circumstance where you chose to become less so others could become more? If so what was the result in them and in you?
