Prayer is God’s invitation to never have to do life alone.

I. PRAYER CONNECTS US TO OUR ESSENTIAL RESOURCE
Mark 1:35 (CEB) "Early in the morning, well before sunrise, Jesus rose and went to a deserted place where he could be alone in prayer."

II. PRAYER DIRECTS US AMIDST LIFE’S PRESSURES
Mark 1:36-38 (CEB) "Simon and those with him tracked him down. When they found him, they told him, 'Everyone’s looking for you!' He replied, 'Let’s head in the other direction, to the nearby villages, so that I can preach there too. That’s why I’ve come.'"
 

III. PRAYER EQUIPS US TO LIVE OUT AN EMPOWERED LIFE
Mark 1:39 "He traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and throwing out demons."

1. How do you experience the presence of God in daily and even mundane activities?
2. When has your connection with God in prayer guided your decisions? What was the outcome of that experience?
3. How have you seen the power of God accomplish what nothing else could?
