SERIES SCRIPTURE:

Jeremiah 33:14-18 (CEB) "The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will fulfill my gracious promise with the people of Israel and Judah.  In those days and at that time, I will raise up a righteous branch from David’s line, who will do what is just and right in the land.  In those days, Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety. And this is what he will be called: The Lord Is Our Righteousness."

I. IN CHRIST WE SEE GOD'S IMAGE
Colossians 1:15 (CEB) "The Son is the image of the invisible God, the one who is first over all creation..."

II. IN CHRIST WE SEE GOD’S AUTHORITY
Colossians 1:16 (CEB) "...because all things were created by him both in the heavens and on the earth, the things that are visible and the things that are invisible. Whether they are thrones or powers, or rulers or authorities, all things were created through him and for him."
 

III.  IN CHRIST WE SEE GOD’S EMBRACE
Colossians 1:17 (CEB) "He existed before all things, and all things are held together in him."

   1. What attributes of God does Jesus show us?
2. Why did we require a rescue or a light from outside of us?
   1. What does that speak to regarding our ability to rescue ourselves?
3. What do you feel regarding the truth presented here that Christ holds all things together?
   1. What does that truth mean in your life?
