Easter: Joy Unspeakable

God wants us to experience a joy beyond words.

The truth that Jesus has risen, means we too can rise!

1 Peter 1:8a-9

Although you’ve never seen him, you love him.

My inability to see Jesus in the flesh has zero bearing on experiencing Jesus In my life.

1 Peter 1:8b

Even though you don’t see him now, you trust him.

Regardless of your circumstance you can know that God IS good, and is working all things out for YOUR good.

1 Peter 1:8c-9

...and so rejoice with a glorious joy that is too much for words. You are receiving the goal of your faith: your salvation.

Hebrews 12:2

He (Jesus) endured the cross, ignoring the shame, for the sake of the joy that was laid out in front of him.

1. How have you experienced a love that is different from what is typically expressed in our culture?

2. In what ways have you watched Jesus meet you amidst circumstances that were difficult to understand or endure?
