Lent Gathering at Cove Church is a 5-week journey in seeking Jesus throughout the season of Lent. We will gather together weekly in one large group for worship, a simple meal, teaching, and table discussion.
Our topic for the five weeks between Ash Wednesday and Good Friday is the book of Revelation. Much like Lent is a preparatory time that calls us back to the basics of spirituality, of putting to death the old self, and beckons us forward once again into joy of new life in Christ, so does Revelation. Christ's revelation through John calls believers back to first-commandment faithfulness, to faithful resistance to cultural systems that draw people away from Christ, and to faithful worship of Christ as both Lion and slain Lamb.
Our goal over the 5 weeks of Lent is not to interpret Revelation for Cove Church, but to help Cove Church approach, read, and respond more confidently to Revelation. Childcare available for children Newborn-5th Grade. Cost is reflected within the form and is dependent upon number of children needing childcare.
