This is for the mom who can’t remember the last time she slept or ate or showered
The mom who has found, mended, folded, and cleaned over and over again
This is for the mom who feels both invisible and endlessly needed at the same time
For the mom who is pacing the floor for hours with a baby who won’t sleep
And the mom who is trying to hold everything together while the world falls apart
This is for the mom who is weary but still working
Who is prays desperate prayers each day
Who is learning how to let go of her grown children.
This is for the mom who is struggling with being a mom
Who keeps a careful mask in place
And the mom who is learning how to be a mom without her mom.
This is for the mom who cries next to the child she doesn’t know how to help
The mom who carries the weight of balancing it all
And the mom who is a mom in her heart but whose arms are empty.
This is for the mom who feels lost
Alone
Exhausted
Worn out
Worn down
Hopeless
This is for the moms who need the reminder that
You are seen.
You are needed
You are loved
You are anointed.
You are enough.

Author's note: Each line from this spoken word comes directly from conversations I have had with other moms at Cove Church. Being a mom is unbelievably hard in this season. If you know a mom (any mom!), please thank her and let her know that she is seen. She probably needs it more than you know.
