A couple weeks ago now, I was driving to work by myself and had the music cranking, my spotify playing. And a song came on that I had not heard before, or if I had, I hadn't really paid attention. The song is a couple of years old and it's called “Spirit Lead Me”, by Influence Music and Michael Ketterer. As that song was playing, the words really ministered to me just very deep in my soul. And even brought tears running down my cheeks. Some guys don’t like to say they get emotional. I do get emotional. Years ago I did not. My son has said, “Man, dad used to be just, like, the death stare and no emotion!” God’s changed me a bit. But anyway, as the song was playing, I probably played it over and over about a dozen times on the way to work. I want to read off these verses to you of the song and the chorus.
There is so much that could be unpacked in the different phrases, words, sentences in this song. I’ve listened to it over and over and over again since the day I heard it.
The biggest thing that I want to bring to you is to encourage you to let the Spirit lead. Let the Spirit lead you. Don’t let you lead you, don’t let other people lead you, don’t let the world lead you, don’t let Facebook lead you, don’t let Instagram lead you.
I encourage you in this, that when you are led by the Spirit, you’re on the right path.
